This Project contains an old Salomon XA Pro 3D. It was made for trail running and has a remarkable silhouette as one of Salomons Flagship Models.
My approach on this project was a way to connect the very technical look of the shoe with nature. To connect the shoe with what it was made for. The shoe should protect the person from natural conditions and help them to overcome these conditions. But what happens when nature makes a way to enclose the shoe and also the wearer?
The Shoe, made in this project is an approach to showcase, what could happen, if nature takes over. The sole of the shoe is covered in an organic form representing mud, dirt and everything the user has been running on. It seems like a shadow waiting for the right moment. A moment of human failure.
